We offer a full service, creating tests and quiz textures for our clients.
Please contact us to ask for our fees.
If you want to create tests and quizzes yourself, you will need a Graphic or Image Manipulation Program. We recommend the freely distributed program GIMP or Inkscape. Any program that exports a .tga or .png graphic will work. Download GIMP here: http://www.gimp.org
The quiz texture template is attached to this information (please sign up).
You will need to save the textures as 24 bit '.tga' or '.png' files to upload them into Second Life. Keep a .xcf, .svg or .psd copy of the original.
Creating a Quiz.
The upper part (blue area) is the question and information field.
The lower part is for the answers.
In order for the system to know where the correct answer is, we always start on the left side (Answer Area 1) with the correct answers.
Syntax - How to name the textures.
(character character)(digit digit digit) t (digit digit) - (digit digit)
The first two characters represent the name of the test.
The three digits after the characters represent the number of the question. The "t" stands for topic. The two digits after the "t" represent the number of the topic.
The digits after the dash (-) represent how many answers the question has, and how many answers are correct. We recommend a black font color on a white background for the answers.
Example:
The following example has 4 answers of which 1 is correct:
yx021t01-41
The following example is an information:
yx022t01-10
The following example has 4 answers of which 4 are correct:
yx007t01-44
To have some 'space' before the actual test textures, please start with texture number '010'. Example: yx010t01-41

Textures are dynamically streamed downloaded,
if they are not already in the cache of the 3D Browser/Viewer.
We recommend the following texture sizes:
High Quality 1024 x 512
Medium Quality 768 x 384
Good Quality 512 x 256 (recommended for SL)
(All textures with a 2:1 aspect ratio work [800 x 400])
Higher Quality, means more kb need to be transfered.
